Job description

We're supporting a highly respected technology organization delivering critical solutions across the US Intelligence and National Security community.

As part of a senior-level networking team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting highly secure, mission-essential network infrastructure supporting multiple intelligence programs. The environment demands exceptional levels of availability, fault tolerance and performance, providing the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects that have a direct operational impact.

This is not a network operations role. You'll be involved in architecture, engineering, implementation and ongoing enhancement of complex networking environments across data centre, transport and enterprise infrastructure layers.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and implementing secure enterprise network solutions
  • Supporting large-scale mission-critical network infrastructure
  • Engineering and maintaining routing, switching and transport environments
  • Troubleshooting complex network performance and connectivity issues
  • Supporting data centre and wide-area network environments
  • Working closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to develop technical solutions
  • Contributing to network architecture, design reviews and infrastructure improvements
  • Providing technical leadership within your area of expertise

Requirements

Do you have experience in VLAN?, * 7+ years of network engineering experience

  • Strong experience with Juniper networking technologies preferred
  • Cisco networking experience also considered
  • Experience designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise networks
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and associated protocols
  • Experience with routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP and BGP
  • Experience with LAN, WAN and network security technologies
  • Experience with firewalls, ACLs and secure network architectures
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within highly collaborative engineering teams

Desirable Experience

  • Juniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE)
  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP)
  • EVPN, VXLAN or MPLS environments
  • Multicast networking
  • VLANs, trunking and spanning tree
  • Bash, Python or other scripting languages
  • Linux or BSD administration experience
  • Experience presenting technical solutions to customers and stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required
