Job description

As Site IT Manager (IT/OT), you act as the local technology leader and trusted business partner, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution. The role ensures secure, reliable, and business-oriented IT and Operational Technology (OT) services, while driving digital transformation and aligning local operations with corporate IT strategy.

Your tasks:

  • Leading and developing the local IT/OT team, fostering accountability and high performance
  • Ensuring stable, secure, and efficient operation of IT infrastructure, OT environments, and business-critical applications
  • Acting as the main interface between the site and Corporate IT, ensuring alignment with global standards
  • Driving digital transformation, modernization, and IT/OT convergence initiatives
  • Managing IT services, projects, and priorities while ensuring operational continuity
  • Building strong relationships with local stakeholders and translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Ensuring compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Managing external suppliers and service providers to ensure high-quality delivery and service levels
  • Leading incident management and resolving complex production-critical issues

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in IT management within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary IT/OT teams
  • Strong track record in delivering infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation projects
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business language
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, especially under pressure
  • Hands-on mindset combined with strategic thinking
  • Fluent in German and English
