Job description
We are supporting a leading engineering organisation developing some of the UK's most advanced defence and security technologies. They are looking to add an FPGA Engineer to their growing digital design team, working on complex systems where performance, reliability, and security are critical. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of FPGA applications, from advanced signal processing and embedded systems through to safety-critical and security-focused platforms. You'll be involved throughout the development lifecycle, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for challenging engineering programmes. The position will involve FPGA architecture, RTL development, verification, integration, and system validation. You'll have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, work with the latest FPGA technologies, and contribute to projects from initial concept through to deployment.
Requirements
They are looking for an FPGA Engineer with the following background:
- FPGA development experience using VHDL and/or SystemVerilog
- Experience with Xilinx, Intel, or Microchip FPGA devices
- Understanding of FPGA verification methodologies and simulation tools
- Experience with FPGA design toolchains and timing closure
- Embedded software development experience in C
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Experience with DSP, image processing, RF systems, embedded processing, or safety-critical development would be advantageous.
