Job description

On a day-to-day basis, you will support and maintain a production-level application used by customers at scale, ensuring smooth and reliable operation. Your time will typically be split across backend engineering (45%), frontend development (45%), and operational support via Jira tickets (10%). On the backend side, you'll build and enhance APIs, services, and system functionality, while working within a large, established codebase to integrate new features and improve performance. From a frontend perspective, you'll contribute to internal tools and user workflows using React/TypeScript/JavaScript, helping create more intuitive systems that empower support teams. A smaller portion of your time will be focused on investigating and resolving production issues raised via Jira, working closely with support teams to troubleshoot customer-facing problems such as licensing, access, and system behaviour. Long term, you'll play a key role in identifying opportunities to automate manual processes, translating loosely defined requirements into practical technical solutions, and collaborating cross-functionally with product, support, and engineering teams to improve both internal workflows and the overall customer experience.

Requirements

Do you have experience in React?, * 3-4 years' of hands on application coding experience

  • Strong backend development experience in Python- back
  • Strong frontend development experience, using TypeScript OR JavaScript- front
  • Proven experience improving internal tools used by engineering or support teams (DevEx/DEPS)
  • Hands-on experience working with Jira - don't necessarily need
  • Strong background in API development
  • Experience troubleshooting issues in live/production environments and supporting operational processes
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity, taking ownership, and driving solutions end-to-end

Plusses

  • Exposure to automation of operational processes or building internal tools
  • Familiarity with large-scale applications serving high volumes of users/devices
  • Experience working with complex, legacy, or enterprise-level codebases
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and building simple, effective internal interfaces
  • Database interaction experience (PostgreSQL or other relational databases)
  • Django experience
  • Strong frontend development experience, using React, * scripting python code from scratch: 3 years (preferred)
  • hands on application coding: 4 years (preferred)
  • with typescript or javascript : 3 years (preferred)
