Job description

Inspects, audits and reports on materials, processes and products used in the construction of aircraft interiors using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company's quality standards. This job reports to the Quality Inspection Supervisor or Quality Assurance Manager., Performs first article inspection (FAI) of newly designed or revised products. Inspection of incoming products to ensure proper paperwork is received and parts conform to specifications, engineering and purchase order. In-process inspection of parts being manufactured. Inspects sub-assemblies used in the construction of aircraft interiors and all final products prior to shipment. Interprets and reads engineering drawings, company and customer specifications to ensure accurate part manufacturing.

Level 4 Qualifications: LEAD Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 10+ years. Computer Skill: Intermediate skills with Microsoft office: Windows Operating System®, Excel and Powerpoint. Prior use of and advanced abilities within an ERP system. Other Skills: Must possess ability to use precision measuring instruments. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other technical literature is preferred. Ability to effectively use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc., and accomplish inspection of detailed parts. Identify problems and solve them independently, work with little to no supervision., High School Diploma/GED Equivalent

Benefits & conditions

The expected salary range for this position is between $23.02/hr - $36.18/hr USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law, 1. Does require fluent communication in English language.

  2. Traveling may be required.
  3. Protracted or irregular hours may be required.
  4. Relocation to another Safran facility may be required.
