Job description

Software Engineering Services, is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to provide daily operations, maintenance, and support for Microsoft Windows server infrastructure within the USSTRATCOM NEC Data Warehouse environment located at Peterson Space Force Base. This role supports both Production and Development environments, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems and networks., * Perform daily administration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows Server environments supporting Production and Development systems. * Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot complex server hardware, operating systems, and network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, network interface cards (NICs), and structured cabling systems. * Deploy, configure, and support Microsoft Server operating systems and associated application software. * Monitor system performance, availability, and operational health to ensure compliance with established performance and security standards. * Conduct software and hardware testing to verify current software releases are properly implemented and operating efficiently. * Diagnose and resolve complex system, hardware, network, and application issues, performing on-site repairs and corrective actions as required. * Provide Tier II/III technical support for system failures, operating malfunctions, and network-related incidents. * Perform and validate system backups to ensure rapid restoration and continuity of operations for supported AMDOTS equipment and associated databases. * Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, installation guides, and operational processes. * Recommend and implement improvements to operating policies, procedures, and system configurations to enhance reliability, security, and operational effectiveness. * Ensure systems comply with applicable cybersecurity, configuration management, and operational requirements. * Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to support infrastructure modernization and sustainment initiatives.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows support?, * Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments in enterprise or Department of Defense (DoD) environments. * Knowledge of server hardware, networking technologies, operating systems, and infrastructure troubleshooting. * Experience with system monitoring, backup and recovery operations, and performance optimization. * Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues involving servers, networks, and applications. * Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
