Job description

Apexis is seeking ambitious security engineer to help us manage our amazing growth trajectory. As a Apexis security engineer, you will collaborate closely with both our field team and our internal teams to deliver outstanding client service and respond to a variety of customer requests with both speed and accuracy. Primary duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide customers with technical support including but not limited to: use of analytical skills, new implementations, troubleshooting & maintenance, education, and preparing support documentation and deliverables to customers
  • Business and technical communication skills are essential for interfacing with clients' engineering and management teams
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Flexible, organized, and able to multitask
  • Occasional travel to customer sites within the US as needed
  • Obtain new technical certifications as needed to stay up to date on the latest security technologies
  • Manage customer expectations and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot customer issues for Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cylance, Mimecast, and other solutions as needed

Requirements

Do you have experience in Customer communication?, * 7-8 years of relevant TCP/IP networking and IT Security experience

  • Strong Linux/Unix and Windows Server knowledge
  • Network experience with Windows, UNIX and/or LINUX based operating systems
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Next Generation Firewall and Endpoint Solutions
  • Experience with TCP/IP and common TCP/UDP protocols at the packet level
  • Working knowledge of DNS, DCHP, VRRP/HSRP, VOIP (H.323, SIP, MGCP) and working knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF & BGP
  • Experience with Core dump/Kernal Panic Analysis
  • Experience providing support to customers, resellers, O&M, and field personnel in order to resolve product related issues
  • Check Point CCSA certification required and (CCSE is a plus)
  • Palo Alto Experience is a plus
  • Meraki Experience is a plus
