Job description
The Breakdown Support role is responsible for preparing and processing incoming shipments to support an efficient and streamlined receiving operation. This role focuses on breaking down shipments, evaluating inventory, and organizing products to ensure accuracy and readiness for downstream production and receiving processes.
This position plays a key role in maintaining workflow efficiency, supporting production teams, and ensuring proper handling of all incoming materials., * Open and process daily incoming shipments from UPS, USPS, freight carriers, and internal deliveries
- Review purchase orders and bid notes to identify special handling instructions
- Evaluate incoming items for condition, value, and accuracy and document discrepancies
- Sort inventory by condition, manufacturer, and part number into designated bins
- Identify and scrap non-viable items, including photographing and documenting scrap
- Research sales history and validate part numbers, descriptions, and pricing when necessary
- Perform testing of items when required
- Label bins accurately and associate items with correct PO or Bid numbers
- Disassemble units as directed to support processing workflows
- Route processed items to the appropriate next stage of production or receiving
- Assist in tracking and logging items submitted for pre-evaluation
- Support pulling of unreceived items for sales orders
- Perform other duties, tasks, or work as assigned
Requirements
Do you have experience in Workflow management (operations management method)?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Strong technical aptitude
- Detail oriented
- Computer literate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical school or related experience preferred
Physical Demands
- Frequent reaching, lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Frequent walking and use of pallet jacks or hand trucks
- Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion
- Frequent lifting up to 60 pounds and continuous lifting up to 10 pounds
- Constant movement of pallets and bins throughout the workday
