Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. This role is critical for driving data center migration through the automation, deployment, and scaling of massive network infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and technical execution-leading the creation of comprehensive implementation plans, logical/physical inventory systems, and network configurations.
The ideal candidate will leverage advanced network and management skills, specifically including the development of textprotos as network configuration scripts used by automation tools for deploying network devices. You will streamline network provisioning and manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and operationally sound infrastructure deployment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-
Migration Plan Ownership: Lead the end-to-end execution of data center migration workstreams. You are responsible for translating high-level strategy into actionable, technical steps and managing the physical/logical deployment until completion.
-
Hybrid Strategy & Migration Project Management: Act as the technical project owner, bridging the gap between high-level planning and operational execution. You will orchestrate the end-to-end migration workflow, collaborating with the team to refine strategies and taking full accountability for the project's "off and on the ground" implementation. You are responsible for ensuring all project milestones are met with operational excellence and that the migration is realized successfully according to the established roadmap.
-
Automated Provisioning & Textproto Scripting: Develop and maintain textprotos as the primary network configuration scripts for automation tools. Ensure these scripts are correctly utilized to automate the provisioning and deployment of network devices. Desirable experience with XML or JSON.
-
Inventory Management & Data Fidelity: Execute the creation and maintenance of physical and logical inventory systems. Ensure every asset is accounted for and that all data management sheets reflect the live state of the network with 100% accuracy.
-
Technical Diagramming: Responsible for drafting and updating technical diagrams and topology maps of the current and future state of the network.
-
Technical Oversight & Scaling: Direct the physical and logical scaling of the network, overseeing Arista hardware installations and ensuring all textproto scripts are ready for automated deployment. You will be in charge of monitoring automation workflows, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring their timely completion.
-
Infrastructure Decommissioning: Responsible for the end-to-end decommissioning of legacy circuits and devices. You must ensure that all retired assets are properly removed from the network and management systems without impacting production.
-
Network Integrity & Continuity: Maintain meticulous attention to all network circuits, paths, and configurations. You are responsible for verifying that all routing paths and hardware setups function correctly to guarantee the high availability and proper performance of the network.
-
Field Operations & Travel: This role requires travel for on-site presence at various data center locations to oversee critical deployment phases.
Requirements

-
Expert knowledge of L2/L3 protocols, Juniper and Arista EOS. Deep understanding of routing paths, circuit continuity, and high-availability configurations. Good understanding of VXLAN and Next generation networks.
-
Experience creating high-fidelity Physical and Logical inventory systems, ensuring 100% accuracy between field assets and databases.
-
Proven experience in automated provisioning. Advanced proficiency in developing textprotos for network device deployment. Desirable experience with automation workflows.
-
Experience using web-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE) used by engineers for coding, debugging, and testing. Desirable experience with Google Cider and workspaces.
-
Skills in Technical Diagramming (Lucid carts) and the creation of detailed Implementation Plans (MOPs).
