Job description

We're seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join a high-performing delivery team supporting a leading financial services client in Wellington. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and customer-focused mobile applications used by thousands of users. This role will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift (and Objective-C where required)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, UX/UI, backend engineers, and QA
  • Build and enhance mobile features that deliver seamless and secure customer experiences
  • Integrate APIs and backend services, ensuring performance and reliability
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in production and test environments
  • Ensure mobile applications meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards relevant to financial services
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices

Requirements

Do you have experience in iOS user interface implementation?, * Proven experience as an iOS Developer / Mobile Engineer

  • Strong proficiency in Swift and experience with Objective-C (desirable)
  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, Combine
  • Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, VIPER, etc.)
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, particularly within financial or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience with automated testing (unit/UI testing frameworks like XCTest)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
