Job description
We're looking for an entry-level Junior Engineer to join our professional services team to procure, stage, and configure hospitality communications and technology systems deployed at hotel, resort, and senior living properties. You'll work directly alongside a senior engineer who will mentor your growth across procurement, staging, and PBX/network systems programming.
This is a great fit for someone with minimal to no prior hospitality technology experience who wants hands-on, mentored exposure to how hardware and systems move from procurement through staging to live deployment.
Responsibilities
Procurement & Staging
- Support the procurement, receiving, and staging of hardware and equipment ahead of customer deployments
- Help track inventory, coordinate kitting and shipments, and keep equipment records accurate and current
Systems Programming
- Program and configure PBX, voice, and networking systems prior to deployment, under the direction of a senior engineer
- Test and validate configured systems before they're shipped to customer sites
- Build working knowledge of hospitality-specific features like call routing, voicemail, and extension programming
Mentorship & Growth
- Work side-by-side with a senior engineer who will actively mentor your development across procurement, staging, and systems programming
- Take on increasing ownership of staging and configuration work as your skills grow
- Participate in structured training and cross-team shadowing to build a broad technical foundation
Documentation & Support
- Maintain clear documentation of configurations, staging records, and procedures
- Pitch in on service requests and troubleshooting as needed to support the broader team, * On-site, in-office role, working closely with a senior engineer mentor
- Standard office/warehouse environment; some physical handling of network and telecom equipment during staging activities
- Extended periods at a computer, plus hands-on work staging hardware
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to clearly document systems, configurations, and procedures
- Basic understanding of VoIP, SIP, PRI, and analog telephony
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including VLANs, QoS, and IP addressing
- Strong interest in telecommunications, IT systems, or hospitality technology
- Willingness to learn new technologies and follow established processes
- Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or coursework in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Previous experience with equipment staging, inventory, or logistics
- Previous experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Previous experience in command-line/terminal environments
- Familiarity with hospitality or other customer-facing service environments
Education & Experience
- Degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimal to no prior experience with hospitality PBX or related systems required
