Job description
- Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop computer hardware
- Perform advanced motherboard and component-level troubleshooting
- Diagnose POST failures, boot issues, power faults, and intermittent hardware problems
- Update, configure, and troubleshoot BIOS and firmware across multiple platforms
- Install and replace CPUs, memory, storage devices, cooling systems, and other hardware components
- Validate repairs through software and hardware testing procedures
- Evaluate systems for cosmetic condition and document repair requirements
- Maintain repair quality standards while meeting productivity goals
- Share technical knowledge and contribute to process improvements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Requirements
Do you have experience in Root cause analysis?, This is a role for experienced technicians who are confident working independently, making technical decisions, and tackling repairs beyond basic component replacement. You'll work with a wide variety of desktop and laptop systems, performing advanced diagnostics and repairs that directly impact our success., * 3+ years of professional computer repair experience
- Strong understanding of computer hardware architecture and troubleshooting methodologies
- Experience diagnosing motherboard, power delivery, and firmware-related issues
- Experience updating and troubleshooting BIOS and firmware
- Ability to independently diagnose complex hardware failures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the workday, * Experience working with Dell, HP, Lenovo, and enterprise-class systems
- Familiarity with hardware diagnostic software and testing tools
- Experience with board-level repair or soldering is a plus
