Job description
We're hiring a Test Automation Engineer II to be responsible for the development and maintenance of automated tests for software used by insurance market and restoration professionals. The Test Auto Engineer II supports overall product quality by contributing to both automated and manual testing efforts, working independently on well-defined problems while collaborating closely with QA teammates, developers, and other stakeholders. This role contributes to testing strategies, test design, and automation improvements, including helping evolve existing automation solutions and frameworks over time. Depending on experience, the Test Automation Engineer II may also assist in improving test architecture, patterns, and reuse. The role begins leveraging AI-assisted testing approaches, as guided by team practices, to improve test coverage, efficiency, and insight. This role is based in our Lehi, UT office which offers a flexible hybrid work model.
- Execute automated and manual testing as part of sprint, regression, and release cycles
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of automation frameworks and test suites
- Estimate testing effort and communicate risks or constraints
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Collaborate with developers and product partners on requirements and acceptance criteria
- Use AI-assisted testing techniques where appropriate to improve effectiveness
Requirements
Do you have experience in Test Planning (Quality assurance practices)?, * Strong experience with at least one object-oriented or scripting language commonly used in test automation
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, QA techniques, and best practices
- Experience developing and maintaining automated tests for front-end and service-based applications
- Solid understanding of Web APIs and how to interact with them
- Ability to debug software applications using logs, stack traces, and debugging tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
- Experience with defect tracking and work management tools
- 3+ years experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation
- Clear communicator and collaborative team member
- Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset
- Ability to manage priorities and work independently
