Job description
Strategic development of our websites to fulfil The Charity's needs and objectives
- Use a range of tools and platforms to perform regular analysis of website performance, producing reports and using key insights to improve user experience, conversion rates, and influence wider activity
- Own the website KPIs, reporting regularly against them and providing insight on what success looks like and how we achieve it
- Work across The Charity to develop website elements of multichannel user journeys and campaigns to convert and retain users from key priority audiences
- Develop, manage and oversee an SEO and link building strategy that improves website health and attracts relevant traffic in order to support user acquisition targets
- Use website personalisation and multivariant testing plans to improve conversion rates
- Work with our marketing, social media and journey/automation teams to ensure an integrated channel approach
- Work collaboratively with other teams to train on content delivery best practice - including the use of WordPress
- Lead on management of external partners and agencies - translating internal requirements into actionable briefs
- Be the day-to-day contact for all agency liaison, overseeing scheduled retainer time or projects and prioritising work as required to meet organisational needs
- Work with the Development team to ensure our websites and microsites are fully integrated with Salesforce CRM
- Review new technologies and keep The Charity at the forefront of developments in digital support, * Contribute to achieving the objectives of The Brain Tumour Charity

Requirements
Do you have experience in WordPress?, A skilled communicator, with strong project management skills, you'll be the trusted voice of the website across the Charity. Your in-depth experience of developing and optimising a website using evidence from multiple sources, including Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, server side tracking and audience/UX research will enable you to thrive in this role. You'll feel at home working with our wonderful team of marketers, fundraisers and other content owners to define development requirements, and enjoy working with technical experts (in and out of house) to implement those requirements. With a creative mind and the ability to think outside the box, you'll understand what it takes to deliver success and be passionate about doing so. Your natural curiosity will inspire you to develop your skills, enabling you to keep us at the forefront of new technologies, and ways to improve UX and SEO, * Ability to use data and analytics (such as Google Analytics 4, SEMrush, server side tracking and Hotjar) to drive website insights, strategy, performance and optimisation
- Hands on experience of understanding and driving Search Engine Optimisation
- Ability to plan, implement and follow-up on UX testing
- Proven record of developing marketing plans or digital projects, on time and within budget
- Experience of leading complex, multi-strand or multi-channel projects
- Working with external partners or agencies to complete projects
- Experience of using a CRM system (ideally Salesforce) and integrating with a website
- Experience of eCommerce systems (ideally WooCommerce)
- Managing a small team
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of website analytics (including Google Analytics and ideally GA4)
- Extensive experience and knowledge of content management systems (ideally WordPress)
- A deep understanding of SEO and how optimisation can aid the growth and success of websites
- An understanding of best practice website user-experience and multi-variant testing
- An understanding of user journeys and utilising user personas
- Strong project management skills, which should include experience of juggling multiple pieces of work and working to deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Proactive approach, excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise and work under pressure with good time management and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communicator with strong analytical, writing, and presenting skills
- Able to influences peers and above
Benefits & conditions
Working hours: This role is 37.5 hours per week, with some out of hours working.
Benchmarked salary: c.£56,500 (dependent on level)
Please note this role is covering parental leave for a 12 month fixed term contract.
