Job description

Humana's Service Fund Controls team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer 2 to join a small team of subject matter experts. This role is 100% remote/work from home anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities

The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 will work closely with peers, and Humana's IT group in and outside of Service Fund to convert current work to a cloud-based platform. As a member of this team, you will assist in data analysis and present technical information to a broad audience. You will consult with peers to identify business needs and provide guidance and direction in development of automation and business solutions that ensure enterprise consistency in analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure full and clear documentation of all projects, processes and scripts

Consult with customers to understand business needs and translate needs to technology and analytic solutions

Design, develop and deliver user specification into automated database solutions. Ensure quality, functionality, reliability and usability using the best technology to meet the business need

Perform architecture design, prototyping of concepts to proof concept, development of coding standards, development of automated testing scripts and audits, data solution debugging

Perform deep-dive analysis into performance in the attribution models to identify trends and outliers

Analytical support for the provider network and engagement teams to identify optimization opportunities

Leverage data to analyze and answer questions around metric variances

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems as needed

Create customized reports and communicate the findings and recommendations with business partners and/or senior leaders

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work experience

1 years of experience in SQL

Experience with Microsoft Azure

Technical experience in data analysis

Expertise in assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

Work at Home/Remote Requirements

Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings

Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points!)

Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Experience with Power BI Experience with data mining and predictive modeling techniques

Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions

Experience in Value-Based Capitation or Service Fund processing environment
