Job description
Seeking a junior to mid-level Systems Engineer with experience in technical support to acquisition programs for our customer in Stafford, VA. Duties include:
- General Systems Engineering support for defense systems
- Develop and/or revise appropriate level acquisition engineering documentation (e.g., Specifications, Interface Control Documents, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Test Plans/Reports, engineering analyses, Network Design Documents, requirements, drawings)
- Develop technical reports, briefs, and documentation related to programs in the portfolio
- Conduct technical assessment and evaluation of Prime Contractor deliverables, architectures, and Engineering Change Proposals
- Assist with the development of technical specifications
- Develop Technical Review Action Plans, and participate in all aspects of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) process
- Participating in System Engineering (SE) IPTs
- Conduct requirements management duties for the supported program office
- Support the design, conduct, data collection, and reporting of test events
Requirements
Do you have experience in Visio?, * Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred, but other engineering or other technical/scientific disciplines are acceptable, or 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with IB Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements Systems (DOORS) or an equivalent tool highly desired.
- Experience with Configuration Management (CM) and applicable tools (i.e. CMPRO) is a plus.
- Experience with SETRs and documentation required.
- Experience in developing acquisition documentation to support programs in achieving required milestones/events is required.
- Ability to effectively work independently and as part of an integrated team of Government and non-Government organizations.
- Excellent MS Office and Visio skills are required.
- DAWIA Level certification or equivalent training in the Systems Engineering field is strongly desired
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent verbal communication skills
- Should be proactive, a self-starter and a history of demonstrating initiative.
