Job description
We're building the financial infrastructure behind our growth - and we need a builder to lead it. As our Principal Financial Systems & Data Analyst, you'll be the architect of our finance data foundation, reporting ecosystem, and BI strategy. You'll consolidate fragmented data into a single source of truth in BigQuery, build the analytics layer across Amazon sales, warehouse, product, inventories, and supply chain, and drive automation across our Finance and Accounting teams.
This isn't a maintain-and-report role. It's a ground-up build at the intersection of finance, data, and operations - for someone who gets energized by creating something from nothing and wants to own the outcome.
If you want your next move to mean more - more ownership, more impact, and a clear seat at the table - we'd love to meet you!
What You'll Be Doing
- Establish BigQuery as the central system of record - migrating brand, product, and transaction-level financial data from disparate sources and governing it as our single source of truth
- Build granular profitability reporting by brand, ASIN, and SKU, including executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and self-service BI capabilities for Finance, Accounting, and Operations
- Integrate Amazon sales, inventory, COGS, fulfillment costs, and fees into unified financial views supporting margin analysis, inventory planning, and working capital optimization
- Drive automation across Finance and Accounting workflows to eliminate manual reconciliation; evaluate and implement AI-enabled reporting, forecasting, and anomaly detection
- Optimize current systems (QuickBooks, REACH, Google Sheets) and lead the evaluation and implementation of an enterprise ERP and FP&A platform over the next 1-2 years in partnership with our CFO
- Serve as the primary systems liaison across Finance, Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, Brand Management, Analytics Engineering, and Technology - translating complexity into clear, actionable insights for leadership
Requirements
Do you have experience in Schema design?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Direct Amazon Seller Central experience - FBA/FBM financial data, inventory, and sales integrations
- Advanced SQL and data modeling skills; hands-on with BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar platforms
- Strong financial acumen across Accounting and FP&A, with BI tool experience (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Familiarity with WMS and inventory data feeds; builder mentality with a track record of creating scalable systems
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar), SMB tools (QuickBooks, REACH), multi-brand or CPG environments, automation tools, and AI applications in finance a plus
