The Finance & Controlling (FI/CO) Manager is a key member of Sika's Regional Process Team (RPT), which defines business processes, delivers innovative solutions, and serves as the strategic link between IT, business stakeholders, and end users. This role is accountable for driving process alignment, supporting advanced business operations, and ensuring the successful adoption of SAP and related financial systems across the North America region. The FI/CO Manager will serve as the regional expert for SAP Financial modules-including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Controlling, BI, SAP Analytics-and cross-functional integrations with areas such as order fulfillment, master data, and business partners. The role also oversees the use and maintenance of Vertex for sales tax determination and reporting. This position requires strong functional expertise, business engagement skills, and the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives across Finance., * Lead SAP FI/CO integration and rollout projects across North America, including blueprinting, data management, Key User training, documentation, and post-go-live support.
- Serve as the regional subject-matter expert for SAP Financial modules (AR, AP, Controlling, BI, SAP Analytics) and cross-functional integrations.
- Manage and support financial systems connected to SAP, including oversight of Vertex for sales tax determination, updates, and reporting.
- Identify and drive process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, automation, and KPI performance across Finance operations.
- Collaborate with global and regional SAP teams, Corporate Process Governance, and local business stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful technology adoption.
- Design, document, and test new or updated business processes to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Provide daily functional support for Finance users, including troubleshooting topics such as VIM processing and managing SAP user access and authorizations.
- Develop training materials and build a network of Finance functional experts to strengthen regional capability.
- Support AP and AR processes involving external service providers and ensure compliance with internal audit requirements.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Stakeholder relationship building?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of Business experience related to the Business Processes in the Area of Finance, controlling, product Costing, IFRS, NIIF regulations.
- Solid understanding of ERP systems/processes with hands on experience in Finance and Controlling.
- Hands-on personality: display energetic and self-motivated
- Influential personality to get his/her ideas across, pragmatic and strong willingness to get the job done with high level of motivation, networking, problem solving, and a 'can do' attitude
- Capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels, able to gain respect, trust and confidence of management, partners and team members
- Ability to adapt communication according to the audience (business and technical)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on +3 projects/assignments simultaneously without scarifying quality
- Motivated and capable of working in an international corporation and with globally distributed teams
- Proactive attitude to set and achieve objectives
