Job description

Job Title: IT Support Technician Department: Finance Location: Doncaster Salary: £30,000 per year Working Hours: 37 hours per week (office-based) Travel: Occasional travel to Sandy depot as required, Overview: Our client is seeking a reliable and self-motivated IT Support Technician to support the day-to-day IT operations across the UK business. You will provide hands-on technical support to users, maintain IT infrastructure, liaise with third-party providers, and ensure secure, smooth IT services for the organisation., * Act as the primary point of contact for all IT support issues across the UK business.

  • Work closely with Group IT to ensure alignment with group policies and procedures.
  • Provide first and second line support for hardware, software, network, and user-related issues.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, tablets, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees (equipment setup and access management).
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Office apps).
  • Manage user accounts and permissions.
  • Monitor and maintain IT equipment, software licensing, backups, and cybersecurity controls.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset registers, system documentation, and support records.
  • Assist with system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and IT projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies, GDPR and security best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and overall IT efficiency.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Proven experience in an IT support role.

  • Ability to work independently in a standalone role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments and Microsoft 365.
  • Understanding of IT security, backups, and business continuity.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise workload effectively.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or multi-site environments.
  • Knowledge of ERP/business systems support (Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision).
  • Experience in Construction/Manufacturing/Civil Engineering or Services industries.

Other Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
