Job description

KCI is seeking an experienced Managed Services Network Engineer to become an integral part of our Managed Services Design and Installation team. In this role, you will interface directly with project managers, field technicians, and end-clients to design, configure, and install managed network solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong data networking background and hands-on experience deploying firewalls, switches, and wireless access points-with a heavy focus on the Cisco Meraki and/or Fortinet ecosystem. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training to bridge any minor knowledge gaps, making this an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking to sharpen their enterprise networking expertise.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

· Network Design & Analysis: Analyze customer data network requirements to build reliable, scalable infrastructure solutions.

· Deployment & Installation: Drive the deployment of managed network equipment (firewalls, switches, and WAPs), ensuring configurations meet client needs.

· Process & Documentation: Follow engineering guidelines for network design, document storage, and project communication.

· Collaboration & Support: Communicate clearly and precisely with field personnel, end-clients, and internal project managers to ensure seamless installations.

· Time Management: Effectively manage time and technical resources to meet or exceed strict project deliverables.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Firewall?, · Core Networking: A deep, foundational understanding of network architecture, routing protocols, and how enterprise traffic flows.

· Firewall & Security Foundations: Direct experience configuring firewalls or routers, including practical knowledge of port forwarding rules, 1:1 NAT, and essential security features.

· Hardware Familiarity: Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki or equivalent enterprise network hardware.

· Industry Experience: Prior experience within the Enterprise Telecom or Managed Services (MSP) sectors is highly preferred.

· Certifications: CCNA (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
