Job description
A leading provider of trenchless pipe repair products is seeking Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations, general ledger management,and financial reporting.
Partnering with the Vice President of Finance, you will ensure accuracy in financial planning, maintain tight reporting deadlines, and leverage accounting systems to recommend strategic operational improvements., * Financial Management: Oversee general ledger, AR/AP, billing, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reporting & Budgeting: Prepare quarterly/annual financial reports. Assist with budgets and periodic forecasts every two months.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, manage multi-state tax filings, and document internal controls.
- Cash Flow & Operations: Monitor cash balances, process receipts/lien releases via Levelset, and manage intercompany account balances.
- Collaboration: Partner with leadership on contract negotiations, pricing analysis, and audit preparation.
Requirements
Do you have a valid CPA license?, Do you have a valid Certified Management Accountant certification?, Do you have experience in Technical Proficiency?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Experience: 3+ years in an accounting lead role is ideal. Accounting experience in the construction, contracting, or manufacturing industries is a big plus.
- Language Skills: Japanese bilingual capability is a strong plus (due to regular communication and support from our corporate office in Japan).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel/365 required. Experience with software systems implementation is highly preferred. Multi-state sales/use tax experience is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Accounting emphasis) required.
- Certifications: CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
- Attributes: Strong knowledge of GAAP, exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and leadership/mentorship capabilities.
Physical & Travel Requirements:
- Ability to work primarily from the Austell, GA location with up to 20% travel to corporate locations and service providers.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted and sit/stand for extended periods., * Do you have an Accounting experience in the construction, contracting, or manufacturing industries?
