Job description

An employer is looking for a Network Admin to sit at Fort Meade, MD. As a Network Administrator, you will work independently to configure and maintain network assets including switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and security updates on Cisco, Juniper, and Dell devices. Your responsibilities include reviewing system documentation, managing configuration and change processes, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity controls. You will support global network architecture upgrades by contributing technical insights, timelines, and resource planning. Additionally, you will implement recurring security requirements, coordinate troubleshooting efforts, and apply moderate system administration skills in both Linux and Windows environments to manage and navigate network systems effectively.

Requirements

Active TSSCI

Currently possess DoD 8570 IAT level II (Sec+ or higher).

Relevant degree with 8+ years of experience (additional experience in lieu of degree)

At least 3 years Linux and/or Windows familiarity. Integration of Network Management (NM) and Element Management (EM) systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems highly desired.

Experience with a ticketing system such as BM, Service Now, ITSM or Remedy.

ITIL v3 Foundation certified

Experience working with virtual environments.

Benefits & conditions

$50/hr to $60/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
