Job description
The IT Systems Manager leads the day-to-day technology operations for the Company's facility. This hands-on leader owns infrastructure, networks, systems administration, end-user support, and cybersecurity compliance in an ITAR-controlled aerospace manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for keeping a growing engineering and production operation running securely and reliably while helping mature IT processes and CMMC / NIST 800-171 readiness., * Manage on-site IT infrastructure: servers, virtualization, storage, networking, firewalls, wireless, and endpoint fleet.
- Administer Microsoft environments (Active Directory / Entra ID, Windows Server, Microsoft 365) and core business systems.
- Lead the help-desk and end-user support function, setting standards for responsiveness, onboarding/offboarding, and ticket resolution.
- Support and enforce cybersecurity controls aligned to NIST SP 800-171 / CMMC, including ITAR/EAR data handling, access control, patching, and backup/disaster recovery.
- Manage system monitoring, performance, capacity, and uptime for engineering and manufacturing systems.
- Coordinate vendors, managed-service providers, licensing, and IT procurement.
- Maintain documentation, asset inventory, and standard operating procedures.
- Partner with engineering and operations to support shop-floor and lab technology needs.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years in IT systems administration with at least 2 years in a lead or management capacity.
- Strong hands-on skills across Windows Server, networking, virtualization, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171, CMMC, ISO, or similar).
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills., * Aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with ITAR/EAR and DFARS data-handling requirements.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, CISSP).
- Experience supporting engineering / CAD / PLM or manufacturing (MES/ERP) systems., This position supports ITAR- and EAR-controlled programs. Applicants must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under 22 CFR §120.62 (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual). The facility is access-controlled and the role is subject to a background check and, for certain programs, eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance.
