As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Banking and Wealth Management / Data Technology Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives., * Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors

  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Requirements

Do you have experience in System design for system development?, * Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s) and framework(s) (i.e., Java, Spring framework, Kafka Streams, Flink, Data Lake & Low Latency stores)
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Practical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Apache Flink, Kafka and Confluent Cloud
  • Experience working with Petabyte scale environments and streaming billions of events per day
  • Advanced knowledge of ReactJS, Angular
  • Familiarity with test-driven development and unit/UI test frameworks such as Jest, Selenium, Web driver IO, React Testing Library, Mock Service Worker, and Playwright is a plus
