Job description
Advise customers in defining information system security requirements and functionality by designing system architecture, developing security designs, and assessing the effectiveness of security solutions against present and projected threats. Employ systems engineering and systems security engineering principles and processes along with knowledge of the customer's "problem space" and available products and practices (the "solution space"). Advise customers on implementing solutions by planning, training, and installing/configuring. Produce formal and informal reports, briefings, and direct input to the customer regarding security and functionality requirements, system architecture, and security designs.
(20 hours per week)
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
Capabilities
- Collaborate closely with internal and external customers to complete required government paperwork and processes related to information system security. Assist the government customer with answering information system security-related questions and perform regular audits of information systems.
Requirements
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
- Bachelor's degree plus 8-years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 6-years of relevant experience.
- Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Tier 1 certification.
Required Technical Skills
- Understand STE/STN requirements and have experience applying the principles of the NIST 800-53 to include the procedures in the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Must have experience with Defense-In-Depth principles, networks and enterprise security architecture.
Desired Technical Skills
- Knowledge of customer corporate tools and data repositories.
- Experience with general Windows office software (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel).
