The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for driving the technical vision, operational excellence, cybersecurity strategy, and long-term growth of Fabre Tech.
This is not a corporate CTO role buried behind layers of management. We are looking for a hands-on technology leader who can help scale an MSP, mentor engineers, participate in strategic client conversations, improve profitability, and build the operational framework required to support significant growth.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and understands how technology decisions impact client satisfaction, employee success, and company profitability.
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute Fabre Tech's technology roadmap.
- Partner with the CEO to establish long-term growth initiatives and service offerings.
- Identify opportunities for automation, AI integration, operational efficiencies, and service innovation.
- Drive standardization across client environments to improve scalability and service delivery.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and determine their fit within our service portfolio.
MSP Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee engineering, projects, escalations, and technical service delivery.
- Establish and refine technical standards, best practices, and documentation requirements.
- Lead technical review meetings, project planning, and service improvement initiatives.
- Own escalation management for complex Level 3 and Level 4 issues.
- Improve operational efficiency through process optimization and automation.
- Work closely with leadership to improve service margins and technician utilization.
Client Strategy & Advisory
- Participate in client Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and executive-level meetings.
- Serve as a trusted technology advisor to key clients.
- Assist with technical account management and strategic planning.
- Conduct technology assessments and provide recommendations aligned with client business objectives.
- Support business development efforts through technical discovery, solution design, and pre-sales engineering.
Cybersecurity & Compliance Leadership
- Oversee cybersecurity strategy across all managed clients.
- Ensure alignment with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, HIPAA, CMMC, and ISO 27001.
- Guide vulnerability management, disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and incident response strategies.
- Evaluate and implement security technologies and services that enhance client protection.
Team Development
- Mentor engineers and technical leadership team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Vendor & Financial Management
- Manage strategic vendor relationships and partnerships.
- Review service profitability and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, procurement strategy, and service pricing.
- Ensure technical decisions support both client outcomes and business goals., * Improve operational efficiency through automation and standardization.
- Reduce escalations through stronger technical processes and mentoring.
- Enhance client satisfaction and retention.
- Strengthen cybersecurity offerings and compliance frameworks.
- Improve project delivery consistency and profitability.
- Help build the foundation required for Fabre Tech's next phase of growth.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows Server administration?, * 10+ years of IT experience.
- 5+ years of MSP leadership experience.
- Previous experience as a CTO, Director of Technology, Director of Engineering, Technical Services Manager, or equivalent leadership role within an MSP.
- Strong understanding of MSP operations, service delivery, project management, and client success.
- Demonstrated experience scaling teams and processes.
- Exceptional communication and executive-level presentation skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
