Job description

The System Engineer provides senior level engineering support for complex IT systems, hybrid infrastructures, and enterprise scale environments. This position is responsible for system configuration, administration, troubleshooting, automation, and lifecycle systems engineering, ensuring the technical integrity and performance of mission critical systems., * Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux (RHEL) and Windows operating systems

  • Install and maintain operating system software, perform system integrity checks, and configure network components
  • Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems across server, storage, network, and mobile devices
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and associated processes
  • Provide support for dispatch system and hardware issues and participate in resolution efforts
  • Optimize system performance, resource utilization, and conduct capacity analysis
  • Analyze and resolve complex server, application, and integration problems
  • Lead and plan Systems Engineering activities and support SE documentation and lifecycle processes
  • Ensure STE/STN compliance and mitigation activities
  • Provide operational support for client/server environments and related technologies

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with VMware
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and administration within Linux Red Hat environments
  • Experience with automation/configuration tools such as Ansible or Splunk
  • Strong ability to implement systems enhancements for performance and reliability
  • Experience performing system integration across hardware and software components, * Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph - no exceptions
  • 20 years of Systems Engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or IT discipline
  • Five (5) additional years of SE experience may substitute for a degree
  • Must have one IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE)
