Your role in our mission

  • Code, test, debug, implement and document moderately complex programs
  • Analyze, design and write specs and reqs from which we develop and code programs
  • Evaluate existing systems and programs; assist project the manager in assigning tasks and work closely with a team
  • Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements and resolve issues that arise
  • Develop test plans and participate in QA activities such as coding reviews
  • Participate as a member of a development team and lead a small sub-team of developers as needed
  • Design system components and delegate responsibilities to team members

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in applications development utilizing ANSI C, Linux, Perl, and related scripting technologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise with relational database systems, including data?modeling principles and development using Oracle and/or SQL Server.
  • Experience in healthcare information technology is required
  • Exposure to financial or banking systems is strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Healthcare Management Systems
  • Commercial health insurance or public health organization experience is advantageous
  • Understanding of accounting workflows, including ledger?based processes.
  • Proven ability to lead, direct, and guide team members in a collaborative technical environment.
  • Ability to facilitate application design and assume ownership of application components within a large?scale Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS)., + Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem?resolution capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder?engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively in high?pressure environments and provide ongoing production support.
  • Demonstrated adherence to organizational processes and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with enterprise batch scheduling tools (Autosys, IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS)
  • Exposure to modern DevOps and version?control tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub is preferred.

Benefits & conditions

The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
