Job description
- Design mechanical components for Sentera sensors and hardware
- Plan and execute integration of hardware with new UAS platforms
- Maintain and enhance existing sensor integrations
- Conduct UAS flight testing and validation activities
- Design, fabricate, and document wire harnesses
- Develop and maintain engineering, production, and user documentation
- Provide Level 2 engineering support
- Perform hardware/software compatibility testing across sensors, UAS platforms, and third-party software
- Create and manage engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 1 year of CAD experience (PTC Creo preferred)
- Ability to obtain FAA Part 107 certification within 3 months
- Strong mechanical aptitude and independent problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent troubleshooting, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Motivated team player with strong collaboration abilities, * Experience with UAS (drone) platforms
- Familiarity with Pixhawk autopilots (PX4 or Ardupilot)
- Knowledge of MAVLink communication protocol
