Job description
Provide hands-on support for engineering, production, and manufacturing activities involving electro-mechanical systems, avionics hardware, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, assembly, and repair. Work includes component fabrication, system checkout, fault isolation, wire harness repair/testing, soldering, mechanical assembly, and supporting flight-grade hardware in laboratory and manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, repair, test, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical assemblies.
- Build and support development, test, and flight hardware systems.
- Perform wiring, soldering, wire harness fabrication, and component-level board work.
- Support engineering teams with assembly improvements and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct operational testing, fault isolation, inspections, and repairs.
- Work with high-voltage systems, battery systems, RF assemblies, and avionics hardware.
- Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards in manufacturing environments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace avionics or related technical fields.
- Experience with soldering, electronics assembly tools, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Experience with wire harness fabrication, repair, and testing.
- Familiarity with ESD environments, tool accountability, and inspection standards.
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and support overtime as needed., * 5 7 years of experience with launch vehicle, propulsion, CCA, or PCBA assembly/repair.
- Knowledge of IPC and J-STD standards (610, 620, 7711/7721).
- Experience documenting non-conformances and repair processes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, electronic work orders, and configuration management systems.
