Job description

Our client's company, based in Milford CT, is growing and we are looking for an experienced Design Engineer for SCADA System design as well as control system electrical design and configuration of Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC based boiler combustion control systems, burner management systems and related balance of plant control systems. Duties include:

  • Design of Proficy iFIX SCADA Systems

  • Creation of control system wiring diagrams using AutoCAD

  • Programming of Allen Bradley CompactLogix and ControlLogix PLCs

  • Programming of touch screen operator interfaces

  • Programming of various loop controllers for legacy combustion control systems.

  • Review of project specifications to assure compliance with customer requirements.

  • Selection of instrumentation for flow, pressure, and temperature measurement applications.

  • Technical support of the company's sales efforts.

  • Creation of submittals, training instructions, O&M Manuals and test reports

  • Support of the control system fabrication, commissioning and startup activities. This effort may require regional travel and typically involves factory testing of the control cabinets, supervision of the installation effort, troubleshooting, calibration, loop testing, safety limit testing and combustion testing in conjunction with our field

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * Minimum 5 years of SCADA system design experience

  • Minimum three years of PLC and/or loop controller programming experience

  • All or most of the experience should be with Allen Bradley CompactLogix or ControlLogix programming experience

  • Previous AUTOCAD experience

  • Electrical Engineering Degree

  • Strong instrumentation and control system integration background

  • Demonstrated ability to meet goals, objectives and schedules

  • Previous combustion, boiler or burner experience is desirable

  • Strong technical skillsaping the future of automation technology.
