This is a net-new position joining a core team of two CRM Administrators, one Product Owner, and a Dev Lead. As the third full-time member of the core team, you will act as the technical anchor-translating complex business problems into robust technical requirements, defining platform best practices, and mentoring the existing administrative team into an engineering mindset., * Technical Execution: Analyze, design, code, debug, test, and deploy customized Salesforce solutions across an active, phased rollout starting with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Complex Troubleshooting: Deeply analyze and debug low-level issues spanning multiple systems and intricate business logic without relying on external architects for solutions.
- Team Mentorship: Provide ongoing architectural guidance, technical coaching, and mentorship to two internal CRM administrators to strengthen the team''s engineering capability.
- Collaboration: Partner closely side-by-side with the Product Owner and Dev Lead to design strategic technical workflows and build platform guardrails.
- Agile Participation: Engage in all Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Salesforce Engineer to drive a massive digital transformation. The organization is actively migrating to Salesforce after 10 years on a legacy platform (SugarCRM)., * Salesforce Platform: 4+ years of true software and application development experience (or 6+ years in lieu of a degree), with deep expertise in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Apex & Flow Development: Expert-level proficiency with Apex development (knowing exactly when to use custom code vs. configuration) and strong foundational knowledge of Flows and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Integration & APIs: Proven experience building custom integration patterns and APIs (exposure to .NET, .NET Core API development, and SQL Server is highly valued).
- Engineering Mindset: Strong background in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, system design, application security (OAuth, OWASP), and automated unit testing., * Senior Problem Solver: A true technical engineer with a strong curiosity to solve problems creatively rather than defaulting to standard functional workarounds.
- Consultative Communication: Ability to collaborate closely with non-technical business partners and explain highly complex technical design choices in simple business terms.
- Team Player: A collaborative, "nothing is my job" attitude, prioritizing overall team success and continuous cross-functional engagement over isolated development.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with Marketing Cloud, MCAE (Account Engagement), or Experience Cloud.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Einstein AI tools.
- Background in the Financial or Bankcard processing industries.
