Job description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Development Engineer to support mission-critical initiatives onsite at Patrick Space Force Base. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud-based applications leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role requires deep technical expertise in AWS and the ability to operate within high-security environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with customers to gather requirements, translate them into effective cloud solutions, and provide ongoing support throughout the development lifecycle. Key responsibilities include building and optimizing AWS-based applications, ensuring adherence to cloud best practices, and producing architectural designs that align with long-term strategic goals. The engineer will also develop implementation roadmaps, maintain thorough technical documentation, and deliver presentations to stakeholders to communicate complex technical concepts clearly. The ideal candidate is adaptable, customer-focused, and experienced working in dynamic, mission-oriented environments. Familiarity with classified or high-side AWS environments and the C2S Access Portal is highly desirable.
Requirements
Active TS clearance and willing to get their TS/SCI 4+ years of relevant experience (or 2+ with graduate degree; or 8+ without degree) Strong hands-on experience with AWS (designing, developing, deploying cloud applications) Experience building scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions Ability to create architectural designs, roadmaps, and technical documentation Experience working directly with customers/stakeholders Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentations)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Security+ or DoD IAT Level II certification Experience with C2S Access Portal (CAP) Experience in high-side / classified AWS environments Prior work in defense or mission-driven environments Agile/team collaboration experience
