Job description
Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Object Storage team to bring core DevOps and infrastructure engineering capabilities to our product squad and ramp up our team's structural autonomy.
Your mission will be to drive critical architecture projects, design new service classes, and implement new technical features for our Object Storage product in order to ensure maximum platform reliability, support new regional expansions, and handle massive workloads constraints (100+ Petabytes).

You will be part of a team of 3 individual contributors (making you the 4th member of the squad). As part of the specialized Object Storage team, you are the technical owner of Scaleway's S3-compatible platform. You will work closely with the Beekeeper team (developing the underlying SDS backend) and the SRE Storage team (handling live infrastructure operations), managing a massivescale deployment across over 1,000 servers.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE :
Tasks :

Lead and execute major high-impact projects, such as opening new regions/Availability Zones and designing new service classes.

Integrate and deploy new functionalities for our homegrown, S3-compatible Object Storage platform.

Actively bridge the gap between low-level system administration and high-quality Devops management.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve highly complex, distributed system anomalies and infrastructure incidents.

Collect and prioritize customer feedback alongside requests from internal operations groups (like the SRS/SRE team).

Escalate software bugs and request fundamental product evolutions from the backend SDS core engineering team (Beekeeper).

Participate in level-2 rotating on-call support duties to guarantee product continuity and strict SLA compliance.

Support hardware-related infrastructure mutations and plan field interventions in close collaboration with Data Center squads.

Conduct constructive peer code reviews to enforce strict technical standards and overall software quality.

Maintain technical product documentation and produce clear onboarding guides for incoming teammates., Team fit interview to deepen your discussions and assess your fit with the team (45 min). On-site meeting to tour our offices and meet your future colleagues
Requirements
Solid foundations in Linux systems administration, low-level architecture, and in-depth infrastructure knowledge.
- Deep technical understanding of Object Storage infrastructure, scale-out environments, and the Amazon S3 API protocol.
-Practical experience working with DevOps and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD).

Strong interest or growing proficiency in production-grade development with Golang.
