Job description

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced, compassionate and motivated Field Support Officer to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care while supporting and developing Care Professionals across the Wirral., As a Field Support Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of care and supporting our Care Professionals in the community. You will work closely with the Care Manager and Assistant Care Managers to ensure outstanding care delivery, compliance, and support for both clients and Care Professionals., * Support, mentor and develop Care Professionals.

  • Build positive relationships with Care Professionals, clients and their families.
  • Conduct client and Care Professional introductions.
  • Complete support visits, spot checks, observations and competency assessments.
  • Identify training and development needs and support continuous improvement.
  • Carry out specialist competency checks including catheter and stoma care.
  • Monitor medication administration and MAR chart compliance.
  • Support the Care Manager and Assistant Care Managers with operational duties.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies and best practice.
  • Promote Home Instead's values of dignity, respect and person-centred care.

Requirements

  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it.
  • Experience delivering a wide range of personal care services.
  • Experience working with medication and MAR charts in a supervisory role.
  • Good understanding of Health & Social Care legislation and regulations.
  • Passion for delivering the highest quality care and supporting people to live independently at home.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence using care management systems and supporting Care Professionals with technology.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and virtual communication platforms.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a flexible approach to work.

Desirable

  • Previous experience as a Field Care Supervisor, Senior Care Professional, Team Leader or similar role.
  • Experience supporting and mentoring care teams within domiciliary care.
  • Additional specialist care training.
