As a Mental Health Technician (Community Coordinator), you'll be a vital part of the treatment process, ensuring that clients receive the care, guidance, and support they need. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Coordinates and transports clients safely to all daily activities, ensuring the clients arrive on time to all scheduled activities, and ensures participant safety.
- Utilizes intervention and communication skills in working with clients, their families and significant others daily and in crisis.
- Rigorously adheres to all Joint Commission policies and procedures, including Waived Testing, Infection Prevention and Control, as well as Emergency Management and Environment of Care procedures.
- Collaborate with the program nurse and clinical team regarding medication management, and monitor and report client behavior with medication side effects. Monitor and document client self-administration medications while coaching clients in self-management and documenting medications in accordance with the organization's policy on medication use.
- Maintain the integrity of the residences, ensuring optimal cleanliness at all times and keeping the area hygienic.
- Be an integral part of the Mission Prep community, immersing yourself in the daily lives of the clients in order to engender feelings of a connected and harmonious environment. The Mission Prep Community Coordinator is truly a part of the program and an essential aspect of each clients wellness journey.
- Facilitate recovery and clinically indicated activities and groups according to organization policy and document into the electronic health record. Proficiently navigate and utilize the BestNotes electronic health record system to document client activities effectively
- Conduct observation rounds, as needed to ensure client safety, and document client behavior and participation in treatment. Effectively and correctly report these in daily passdowns.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment and participate in each client's individualized person centered care and treatment plan, ensuring that each client's treatment experience is unique and memorable while adhering to CA DSS regulations and Mission Prep Healthcare principles and values.
- Conduct orientation to new residents, including reviewing safety drills and locations of fire extinguishers, emergency evacuation diagrams, exit routes, evacuation procedures, and first-aid kits
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Driving?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, We seek individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and eager to make a difference. - Background Check: Must pass ADP Selective Screening Services and other Federal/State background checks.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess valid driver's license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 23 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer, walk/stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs., and navigate stairs, * Strong communication skills with families, clients, and staff
- Ability to remain professional, empathetic, and patient under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Suite
- Knowledge of clinical and medical terminology (preferred but not required)
