Job description
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Services Architecture Sr. Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to act as an advisor to the customer with a broad application, LoB or industry understanding., Understands the as-is situation and goals of a customer holistically and translates into an appropriate business-driven IT-roadmap and architecture design based on SAP's offerings and SAP's cloud strategy. Helps to operationalize the customers business strategies, identifies relevant components, approaches, input, etc. to derive the best possible solution and helping our customers reap the increasingly differentiating benefits of our cloud solutions. Challenges existing solutions / approaches / concepts, to generate a state-of-the-art and future-ready outcome. Re-defines the concepts so that a constant improvement is guaranteed (agility in solution design). Clarifies expectations from various stakeholders and creates a solution which integrates diverse points of views and serves as a starting point for future SAP business. Collaborates with customers, partners and SAP teams for the best possible implementation. Drives knowledge management and innovation activities based on this experience with customers. Collaborates and co-innovates with the respective development teams. Fully understands and leverages the capabilities of SAPs technology platform(s). Understands and uses various Architectural patterns - e.g. micro-service based architecture, reactive architecture, cloud native etc. Can support sales deals by articulating deployment scope, design, roadmap, and estimates. Designs a to-be architecture for optimal outcome that supports the realization of expected business outcomes. Helps defining the strategic, conceptual, and organizational scope for the design of the SAP-centric IT landscape. Develops the business, application, data, technology or enterprise architecture in close collaboration with the customer, considering all aspects of complex / extraordinary situations, to generate delightful solutions for customers. Helps troubleshooting success-critical customer issues related to SAP, independent of their nature. Acts based on their Architect role in service delivery, as Business Architect, Application (Solution) Architect, Data Architect, Technical Architect or Enterprise Architect. Helps advising and mentoring diverse teams, which include customer, partner and SAP resources.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must include four (4) years involving each of the following:
- Designing, implementing, and managing large projects for migration and data transformation;
- Data Migration using direct database updates;
- Driving blueprinting workshops across key application modules for data transformation and migration;
- Defining and executing data mapping rules to ensure accurate translation between source and target systems;
- Planning, coordinating, and managing data migration projects, including risk assessment and timeline management;
- Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues that arise during the migration process;
- Database indexing, normalization, and performance tuning concepts; and
- Data transformation, migration, and integration tools, with a focus on structured data processing and conversion methodologies.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $125,923 - $175,865. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $125,923 - $206,900. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
