Job description

The Desktop Support Technician I is responsible for providing hands-on technical support to internal users, resolving day-to-day IT issues, and collaborating with senior technicians to ensure a seamless technology experience. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment., * Troubleshoot and resolve Level 1-2 technical issues for internal users, escalating when needed

  • Provide support for multi-factor authentication (MFA) tokens and secure access tools
  • Support mobile devices including iPhones and mobile hotspots (MiFi)
  • Accurately document, track, and update all work using an IT ticketing system
  • Perform basic administration of Active Directory users and groups under guidance
  • Partner with senior technicians to ensure timely and effective issue resolution
  • Deliver professional, responsive, and customer-focused communication
  • Maintain a strong focus on security, risk mitigation, and data confidentiality
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices
  • Complete all tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and a high level of service quality
  • Support additional tasks and assignments as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in desktop support or a related IT role
  • Experience troubleshooting WAN/LAN connectivity, VPN access, and desktop environments
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Windows 10 operating systems
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Microsoft Exchange tools
  • Software installation and basic system configuration
  • Basic understanding of network infrastructure and architecture
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive, "can-do" mindset
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
