Job description
Position Summary: In this role, you'll visually document and verify the quality of our handcrafted Pilates apparatus throughout the manufacturing process. Your key responsibility will be photographing equipment at every production stage and uploading the images to a shared cloud system-ensuring consistency, accuracy, and transparency in product quality.
Quality Assurance & Issue Resolution:
- Perform real-time quality checks during production.
- Use Fast Fields to complete QA SOPs and log issues in Excel.
- Flag defects or inconsistencies, escalating when necessary.
- Conduct spot checks on inventory or finished goods as needed.
Documentation & Record Keeping:
- Capture high-quality photos at each key assembly stage.
- Accurately label and organize photos using our system.
- Upload images to Fast Fields, ensuring proper archiving.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with packing and assembly to uphold QA standards.
- Provide feedback on documentation protocols and QA processes.
- Communicate updates to second-shift management.
- Deliver daily updates for the first-shift QA team.
Workflow & Process Improvement:
- Manage your own schedule and tasks with minimal supervision.
- Offer feedback to improve workflow and QA practices.
Requirements
Do you have experience in iOS?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Gratz Pilates is seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy second-shift Quality Assurance Tech to join our production team., * Proficiency with cloud storage platforms (Fast Fields, SharePoint a plus).
- Basic photography (framing, lighting, focus).
- Familiarity with digital or smartphone photography (iOS, Android).
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
- ERP system experience is a plus.
- Able to work with spreadsheets for documentation.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and visual awareness.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Clear, professional communicator.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback., * 1-2 years of experience (internship/work-study included) in QA, production support, or process documentation within a manufacturing, building, or assembly environment.
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Conduct visual inspections and document physical products at different production stages.
- Capture, label, and organize images or videos for QA or training.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to uphold standards and find improvements.
- Experience in small-batch or handcrafted environments is a plus, especially where precision, consistency, and aesthetics are key.
- Able to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Interest or background in Pilates, fitness, or craftsmanship is a bonus.
Education:
- BS or AD in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Tech, QA, Mechanical Engineering Tech, Industrial Design, or Product Development.
- Equivalent experience may be considered.
