Job description

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing all technology systems supporting a single-location retail operation generating approximately $30M in annual revenue. This role ensures the stability, integrity, and performance of core business systems, including ERP, accounting, and reporting platforms. The IT Manager partners closely with finance and operations leadership to enhance data visibility, streamline workflows, and support strategic decision-making., Systems & Application Management

  • Administer and optimize Odoo ERP, including inventory, purchasing, sales, and POS modules

  • Manage QuickBooks Online, including integrations, data integrity, and user access controls

  • Maintain system integrations between Odoo, QuickBooks, and other third-party applications

  • Oversee system upgrades, patches, and vendor relationships

Data Management & Reporting

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for financial and operational insights

  • Design and manage data connections between Odoo, QuickBooks, and Power BI

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across systems

  • Develop automated reporting solutions to support leadership (sales, margins, inventory, cash flow)

Infrastructure & Security

  • Manage IT infrastructure including network, servers (if applicable), POS systems, and cloud platforms

  • Oversee cybersecurity protocols, backups, disaster recovery, and access controls

  • Ensure compliance with data protection standards and company policies

User Support & Training

  • Provide technical support to internal staff across departments

  • Train users on ERP, accounting systems, and reporting tools

  • Develop documentation and standard operating procedures

Process Improvement & Strategy

  • Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and reduce manual processes

  • Partner with CFO and operations leadership on system enhancements and data strategy

  • Evaluate and implement new technology solutions to support growth, Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)- Works closely with: Accounting, Operations, Sales, and Ownership

Requirements

Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of IT systems management experience, preferably in retail or distribution preferred

  • Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP, QuickBooks Online, and Power BI preferred

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of ERP/accounting system integrations

  • Experience with APIs, data connectors, and ETL processes

  • Knowledge of SQL and database structures

  • Familiarity with cloud environments and network administration

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical users

  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • System uptime and reliability

  • Accuracy and timeliness of reporting

  • Reduction in manual processes / automation improvements

  • User satisfaction and support resolution time- Data integrity across systems
