Job description
The Data Analyst is responsible for translating business statements into executable code for retrieving data and verifying/vetting the results with business users/subject matter experts (SMEs). Essential functions include: interpreting business requirements derived from mortgage servicing guidelines, identifying keywords and phrases, locating their corresponding data models and fields in supporting documentation (data dictionaries and mapping documents); using identified models and fields, writing code that will retrieve results from loan data based on logic defined in the business requirements; mining data models, analyzing fields and values using supporting ad hoc queries as needed, to understand source data characteristics to aid with business rule logic; reviewing and verifying results with business users/subject-matter-experts, troubleshooting and resolving issues in the code logic to ensure accurate results; deploying new and updated code in SaaS application, adding business rule metadata supplied by compliance analyst in requirements. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field and two (2) of experience in the job offered or a related occupation in data analysis. Position also requires one (1) year of experience involving each of the following:
- Designing data visualization reports using Tableau software;
- Writing SQL scripts to manage data;
- Performing Dual Data Validation;
- Informatica, Azure, PowerBI, Micro Strategy, Salesforce, Google Analytics, or SDLC; and
- Databases such as MySQL, No SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
