Job description
Duties: Act as primary point of contact to assigned set of accounts for all technical issues related to their use of STAR CCM+/Floefd/Flotherm; Identify customer problems and take responsibility for successful resolution of issues, including reporting of bugs and documentation of activities; Support building, analyzing, and troubleshooting of engineering models in Simcenter STAR-CCM+ to ensure effective modeling of customer products; Define and develop new methods and techniques for analysis and model development to support customer needs; Participate in the sales process to facilitate sales and deployment of software at potential and existing customers; Conduct training on Introductory and Advanced Topics; Conduct technical discussions with prospective accounts on benefits of CFD products; Perform benchmark simulations to define best practices and verify results; Present new features of software to address customer needs; Create Knowledge Base Articles for the customer portal; Work on multiple projects/problems simultaneously; Collaborate with product management and industry teams to provide input on future product direction; Use proficiently all aspects of CFD technology: software installation, licensing, HPC cluster configuration, CAD handling, meshing, solving, complex physics modelling, post-processing, coupling to other codes; Follow and use new modelling techniques and features introduced in CFD product releases; and Find new application areas and creating new simulation examples. 20% telecommuting permitted within commutable distance. Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical writing within technology?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a CFD Application Support Engineer-related occupation.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field and 12 months of experience in the job offered or in a CFD Application Support Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires experience or internship in the following:

Working with CFD (computational fluid dynamics) simulations and tools, such as ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS CFX, COMSOL Multiphysics, SIMULIA PowerFLOW, or OpenFOAM .

Working with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments used for running massively-parallel CFD simulations, such as batch system schedulers, Message Passing Interface (MPI) configurations, or License server configurations.

Utilizing simulation domain meshing, turbulence physics, simulation post-processing, and general fluid dynamics physics.

Working with CAD packages, such as Siemens NX, Catia, or Solidworks.

Troubleshooting complex engineering systems and simulations.

Technical writing and presenting engineering findings to others.

Data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of engineering project results.
