Job description
cFocus Software seeks a Configuration Management Specialist to join our program supporting the United States Navy (DON). This position is on site in the San Diego, CA area. This position requires a Secret clearance., * Prepare, maintain, and update Information Warfare Platform (IWP) Capability Baselines for surface ships and shore platforms.
- Support Baseline Management (BLM) and Configuration Management (CM) activities for Program Management Warfare (PMW) offices, NAVWAR, Platform Readiness Reviews (PRRs), and Execution Readiness Reviews (ERRs).
- Develop and maintain As-Planned and As-Installed platform baselines and associated modernization documentation.
- Perform baseline wholeness analyses and configuration assessments supporting PRRs, ERRs, and fleet readiness initiatives.
- Support Configuration Management Governance Boards, Platform Configuration Control Boards (PCCBs), Technical Review Boards (PTRBs), and other configuration review forums.
- Maintain configuration records, change histories, audit trails, and document repositories to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Coordinate and track Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Ship Change Documents (SCDs), installation drawings, technical directives, and configuration updates.
- Monitor and validate configuration data within SPIDER, RIPTIDE, iMET, and other Navy modernization and configuration management systems.
- Provide recommendations to improve configuration control processes, database accuracy, and modernization planning tools.
- Support modernization planning by validating platform configurations, system dependencies, capability builds, and integration requirements.
- Review and reconcile configuration discrepancies, missing records, and historical modernization data.
- Support platform installation readiness activities, funding execution tracking, and schedule coordination associated with approved modernization efforts.
- Prepare and maintain Quarterly Work Packages (QWPs), baseline reports, status reports, metrics, and executive briefings.
- Coordinate configuration management activities with engineers, logisticians, acquisition personnel, installation managers, planners, and Government stakeholders.
- Conduct configuration audits, data validation activities, and quality reviews to ensure compliance with Navy policies and configuration management standards.
- Provide technical documentation support, meeting support, action item tracking, and configuration status accounting.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Program Management, Logistics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 3 - 7+ years of experience supporting configuration management, baseline management, engineering support, modernization planning, or related DoD programs.
- Experience supporting Navy, NAVWAR, PEO C4I, or other DoD acquisition and modernization programs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of configuration management principles, baseline management, and change control processes.
- Understanding of Navy modernization processes, platform integration activities, and configuration governance requirements.
- Experience supporting technical reviews, configuration control boards, readiness reviews, and modernization planning activities.
- Knowledge of engineering documentation, technical baselines, installation documentation, and configuration status accounting.
- Experience with SPIDER, RIPTIDE, iMET, SharePoint, databases, or similar configuration management systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and data management skills.
- Ability to perform configuration audits, discrepancy analysis, and data reconciliation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, briefings, and executive-level documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
