Job description

  • Work on software-system projects with a unique blend of systems engineering and agile software processes.
  • Generate and manage software requirements based on contract requirements, stakeholder needs, and use case objectives.
  • Contribute to and maintain a systems model for a program's system of interest.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including program CONOPs, software architecture diagrams, project requirements, V&V test plans and procedures, decision records, design documents, and user guides.
  • Work with teams of software developers in the preparation, planning, and testing of software products to realize the designed system solution.
  • Manage and adjust the system design by gathering feedback from key stakeholders.
  • Plan and organize system testing, integration, reviews, and demonstrations.
  • Use Jira to track task progress and deliverables.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Validation design?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, The ideal candidate is an experienced systems engineer with a background in translating customer requirements into solutions. They are adept at defining a problem through use case definition and requirement generation, and they can translate requirements into specifications and a solution. The candidate can generate architecture diagrams, assess and perform tasks for software integration, and execute on collaborative teams within an agile development process. They work with teams of systems engineers and software developers to manage complex project requirements and ensure software developed meets those requirements. They build and execute test plans to ensure products meet requirements. Their strong communication skills enable them to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders., * Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering role.
  • Experience with the Systems Engineering concepts of use case decomposition, requirements traceability, system architecture, system integration, verification and validation, and lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with team members, internal leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new domains, technologies, and priorities.
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management and organization skills.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in DoD contracted programs.
  • Experience with MBSE tools.
  • Experience in GIT version-control software.
  • Knowledge of scrum and agile software processes.
  • Experience with an object-oriented programming language.
  • Demonstrated software development and/or software architecture knowledge.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Travel:

This position will likely involve travel to customer and non-customer sites principally in North America (up to 20%) but global travel is also possible.
