Job description
- Our Team is looking for a SQL Database Administrator to maintain the integrity, security, and availability of multiple database(s). Duties include disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring data. Roles and responsibilities will include performing database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements, organizing and formatting data for efficient query and storage processes, and developing policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s).
The Level 2 Systems Administrator shall possess the following capabilities:
- System Implementation, Troubleshooting, & Maintenance:
- Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems to optimize performance.
- Perform system capacity analysis, resource utilization optimization, and system performance enhancements.
- Provide in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems and delivering detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Help Desk & Technical Support:
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of issues.
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Support IT systems, including daily operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting of client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Provide support for dispatch system and hardware problems, ensuring continued involvement in the resolution process.
- Hardware Deployment & Replacement:
- Initiate and complete the replacement of phones and thin clients across multiple site locations.
- Manage the imaging, deployment, replacement, and troubleshooting of computer systems and phones across different networks.
- System Administration & Network Management:
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of system integrity.
- Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Perform system administration tasks, including creating and deleting computer accounts in Active Directory (AD), assigning and updating IP addresses within DHCP, and managing system entries in SCCM during deployments and workstation replacements.
- Conduct network surveys prior to equipment installation across multiple networks.
- Technical Support & Configuration:
- Complete the configuration and installation of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems.
- Provide training support to personnel during scheduled deployments.
- Inventory & Compliance Management:
- Provide updates to ISSOs and property managers regarding managed equipment assignments and transfers.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers and project managers to ensure task accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
- Ten (10) years' experience as a System Administrator (SA) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- One (1) year of experience in Enterprise IT systems and projects, managing and performing integration operations and maintenance activities on multiple system domains of various security classification levels and diverse user bases concurrently.
Certifications Required:
- Security+ CE certification is required.
