We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to support and maintain enterprise Windows and Linux server environments in a fast-paced, mission-focused organization. This role is responsible for building, configuring, securing, and monitoring systems across virtual and physical infrastructures, while ensuring compliance with security and accreditation requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a proactive troubleshooting mindset, and the ability to clearly document and communicate system configurations and procedures for shared team success.

Windows Server Administration:

Server builds on virtual and physical hardware

Active Directory user account management, security groups, and Computer objects

DNS management, forward and reverse lookups, zones

Group Policy Object creation, modification, assignment to objects in AD

WSUS patch management to include approve/decline, group management, and database cleanup
Linux Server Administration:
- Server builds on virtual and physical hardware, provisioning storage partitions
- Troubleshooting Linux service problems
- Patch management through yum, apt-get, and dnf
- Simple Linux networking and base services (ntp, DNS, selinux, firewalls)
Third-party application installation and management
Familiarity with network-based storage and long-term NAS appliances
Use of system monitoring and logging tools like Nagios and Splunk
Vulnerability management through systems like Nessus and Nexpose Rapid7
Customer ATO and accreditation process including documentation and scanning requirements
Basic knowledge of AWS to include EC2 instances, volumes, snapshots, and security groups
Strong communication skills, fast-paced work environment
Ability to produce system documentation and SOPS for shared team knowledge
Familiarity with JIRA ticketing system to track work project
Virtualization technology to include VMWare and Proxmox
