Job description

  • Lead a small team of platform engineers and system administrators responsible for designing, building, securing, and operating an evolving DevSecOps platform and cloud-based infrastructure
  • Serve as Product Owner, managing the backlog, prioritizing work, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring alignment with program objectives and delivery milestones
  • Partner with the Scrum Master to plan and execute Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning
  • Oversee delivery, selloff, and technical acceptance of completed increments, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and alignment with program commitments
  • Act as the primary liaison between engineering teams, program leadership, and external stakeholders to align technical vision, roadmap, and delivery priorities
  • Develop, maintain, and drive a forward-leaning technical roadmap emphasizing cloud-native architectures, automation, modern DevSecOps practices, and relevant COTS integrations
  • Continuously evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies, cloud services, automation approaches, and industry best practices to enhance platform capability, security, reliability, and scalability

Requirements

  • Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and a minimum 10 years of related work experience
  • Experience installing, configuring, hardening, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments ands-on experience designing, implementing, and integrating cloud infrastructure solutions, preferably with AWS
  • Experience with IaC and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and/or Chef
  • Experience and knowledge of CI/CD principles and toolchains (Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, GitLab, Artifactory, Helm)
  • Active and Current TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required on day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Demonstrated technical leadership and strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to engineering teams, customers, and senior leadership. DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
  • Experience independently developing technical approaches and solutions with minimal oversight
  • Strong foundation in infrastructure components including servers, networking, storage, and virtualization in enterprise or mission environments
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for Linux platform, performance, reliability, and distributed system availability issues
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation and workflow development
  • Experience implementing solutions within a DevSecOps framework, including integrating security across the software lifecycle
  • Strong AWS experience, including architecture, deployment, and security for EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and related services
  • Experience with container technologies and platform engineering (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman)
  • Experience integrating and supporting COTS and FOSS solutions in secure or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with supporting application teams through CI/CD pipeline integrations and developer-facing platform services

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
