Systems Engineer - Veeam / Azure

Technical Leadership & Implementation Lead implementation of Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure (v8.x preferred) across multi-tenant environments Replace native Azure Backup with centralized, policy-driven Veeam solutions Integrate Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) for hybrid backup and recovery operations Implement VeeamONE for centralized monitoring, reporting, and alerting

Architecture & Platform Design Design scalable backup architectures aligned with enterprise security, compliance, and governance standards Configure immutable backup solutions and retention strategies Support Azure workloads including VMs, SQL (VM & PaaS), SAP HANA, and File Shares

Operational Integration & Readiness Integrate monitoring and alerting with ServiceNow for incident and event management Develop backup policies, retention schedules, and operational procedures Perform backup validation and restore testing for critical workloads

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer Produce architecture documentation, runbooks, and system diagrams Deliver knowledge transfer and support handoff to internal teams Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams

Mastery-level experience with Veeam Backup & Replication Hands-on experience implementing Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure (v7.x or v8.x preferred) Strong experience with VeeamONE (monitoring, reporting, alerting) Experience integrating monitoring tools with ServiceNow Strong experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS (VMs, Azure SQL, Storage, File Shares) Experience working in Azure Government and multi-tenant environments Deep understanding of backup architecture, immutability, security, and compliance Ability to work independently in complex, enterprise environments

Preferred Skills Experience supporting large-scale enterprise backup transformations Strong documentation and communication skills Experience working in regulated or highly secure environments
