Job description
- Design Integration Architecture: Architect robust, scalable connections between core CRM capabilities and external enterprise systems. Determine the optimal mix of event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and API callouts to build a cohesive data ecosystem.
- Lead Cross-System Features: Spearhead the technical design for complex, multi-platform integrations bridging cloud ecosystems, ERPs, service management tools, and real-time messaging queues.
- Solve Complex Data Patterns: Tackle the toughest integration bottlenecks, specifically addressing issues that span transaction boundaries, involve multi-stage asynchronous handoffs, or demand a master-level understanding of platform execution order.
- Establish Integration Standards: Drive the technical direction for modern development practices, establishing reusable asynchronous design patterns, strict API integration standards, and automated testing strategies.
- Mentor and Review: Guide Mid-level and Junior engineers through integration design reviews, code quality mentorship, and collaborative pairing on complex data pipeline problems.
- Manage Tech Debt & Performance: Identify legacy integration bottlenecks, build the business case for modernization, and execute plans to reduce technical debt and optimize platform governor limits.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Translate complex data flows, error-handling mechanisms, and system architectures into clear concepts for non-technical business and product stakeholders.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Collaborate on deployment and release strategies to ensure seamless, automated code promotion across distributed, multi-system environments.
Requirements
- Core Experience: 6+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on architecting and developing within the Salesforce platform ecosystem.
- Integration Mastery: Proven track record of designing multi-system integrations from scratch-not just implementing them. This includes defining custom error-handling frameworks, retry logic, and data reconciliation patterns.
- Asynchronous Expertise: Deep, hands-on mastery of asynchronous processing patterns (Batch processing, Queueables, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture), selecting the right tool based on architectural requirements rather than habit.
- Platform Mechanics: Thorough understanding of platform execution order, transaction lifecycles, and how they impact high-volume, automated data flows.
- DevOps & Automation: Experience working with enterprise CI/CD pipelines and release management tools to deploy multi-system dependencies safely.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)., * One or more domain specialist certifications (e.g., Integration Architect, Data Architect, or Advanced Developer).
- Direct experience working with high-throughput event-streaming platforms or message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, or enterprise service buses).
- Experience managing integrations in highly regulated industries with strict compliance and data privacy standards.
- Experience optimizing large-scale enterprise environments dealing with high data volumes, complex sharing rules, and heavy custom automation.
- Experience modernizing legacy middleware workflows or converting older automation patterns into modern, API-first architecture.
Eligibility Note: Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) to be considered.
