Job description
The IT Infrastructure Engineer will be primarily responsible for the configuration, implementation, operation and optimization of supported IT Networks technologies. While your core focus is on ensuring a reliable and stable environment, you will also work with business stakeholders, IT partners, and vendors to design and build IT solutions that are robust, flexible, resilient, and supportable. By applying software engineering principles, you will help modernize our infrastructure, optimizing service reliability and eliminating manual work through automation., * Ensure the infrastructure is running properly to achieve agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Operational Level Agreements (OLAs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Objectives (SLOs) in compliance with quality requirements. Manage internal infrastructure updates and patch implementations to maintain a reliable and stable environment.
- Work closely with stakeholders, internal and externals, to design , build and maintain IT solutions that meet business requirements for performance, availability, security, and compatibility.
- Apply software engineering principles to build and manage large-scale IT infrastructure products across their lifecycle. Support to abstract away infrastructure complexity by providing self-service tools
- Manage ITSM processes and track the resolution for reporting and resolving incidents, problems, changes, requests, and releases. Serve as technical support to all technologies managed by the team.
- Build relationships with customers, developers, and support teams to deliver outstanding support that meets or exceeds expectations. May lead assigned projects to influence and achieve defined goals and dates.
- Ensure external vendors and service providers meet our high standards.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging technologies within your infrastructure area of responsibility (such as data center, wireless, Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks and automation) to support the team and tackle complex, interdisciplinary issues.
Requirements
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- You bring over 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer. Cisco CCNP certification is preferred
- You have supported, troubleshooted, and implemented large and complex data networks (LAN, DCLAN, WAN, Wireless)
- You have worked with external vendors and service providers, particularly telecom carriers
- You are experienced with infrastructure automation, including automated provisioning of network devices
- Experience applying infrastructure automation tools, infrastructure as code (IaC), scripting languages, logging, monitoring, and observability tools
- You can work flexible hours, handle occasional overtime, and participate in on-call duties
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
